One Year Old

Camryn's birthday turned out to be a big success. She was tired, but happy to explore the garage and surrounding area with her family and friends. =] Here are a few pictures of the gift and cake process:

Way Over Due

My grandmother has taught me many things. One of the most important things she has taught me is in regards to attitude. When you awake, you decide your attitude. Of course, there are exceptions to every rule (i.e. death of a loved one) where you may not have such an easy time deciding to be happy in life. All that being said, I hope you choose to be happy with what you have on this sometimes crazy earth.

Here are a few pictures of one happy girl:

This girl LOVES her daddy (and her photographer mommy)!!

When we count our blessings, she's our first one. :)
This photo is from June/July that I wanted to add. Inquisitive minds...

Please enjoy your Labor Day weekend & remember you decide your attitude. =]

Summer Vacation Part 2

We had such a great time with friends while also enjoying Georgia's Jewel- Jekyll Island. Here are some pictures of the rest of our week:
Oh my goodness!! I would love to have the Spanish moss in Ohio.

Summer Vacation Part One

Going into our vacation, we were nervous to leave our baby girl with her two favorite grandmothers. Once  we found it was important for us to enjoy ourselves, we did! Don't worry, CK was loving life with her Grammy/Mamaw. Oh, and we utilized Skype as well:)

A day in the life

Let me tell you... I love motherhood. It can test your patience and cause you to act crazy at times, but the rewards outweigh the cost a million times over. I know my friends who are mothers, fathers, and guardians can agree with me. To give Ed a quiet house to sleep in after a very long night at work, we loaded the car and to grandmothers house we went. :) Camryn, Highway (our beloved border collie mix), and myself made it to Nanny's in time to enjoy some time there. We went to lunch and my beautiful sister joined us. She spent the rest of the afternoon with us and it was such a wonderful time. Camryn will learn to love girl time. ;) Here are a few pictures of CK doing her thing.

Photographer- Auntie Shelby Lynn

Seriously- she couldn't be cuter if she tried.

She's been in grass before...but not as a crawler. ;)

Cheesin while swingin. She could swing all day!
Well folks- I hope you can enjoy the simple things God has given us.

Haircut

Camryn Kay received her first haircut on June 17th by our favorite hairstylist, Trisha Gragg. Sorry for the delay in blogging about it! This summer we have been so busy playing and crawling that I haven't been on the computer to blog. Enjoy these pictures of Camryn before/during the event. I will post a better picture of her new hairstyle later.

All smiles for Daddy

"What is going on?"
In late June, our church had its VBS. Camryn was able to hang in the preschool room as I volunteered with a group of kindergarten, first, and second graders. Though it was exhausting, it was so much fun! Here is my favorite picture of Camryn taken in the preschool room.

This picture says it all! :)

I hope all is well for you and yours! To my faithful blog readers (all 6 of you, haha), I will try my best to do better about blogging. :)

Happy Daddy's Day

Camryn and I are both blessed to have Ed in our life. He helps me whenever I ask without complaint. The way he interacts with Camryn is just wonderful. This one is for you, Ed! Happy Father's Day!

I hope each of you were able to celebrate father's day with people you love.

Happy Anniversary (A bit late...)

Ed and I married on a windy day in 2008. Recently, we celebrated three years of marriage. Though it has taken some compromise (what good relationship doesn't?), we are still happily in love. ;) Enough with the sap, right? Here are a few pictures of our recent anniversary trip to Pittsburgh, PA:
Ed took this amazing picture of PNC Park. The Pirates were victorious 3-2 vs the Mets. It was a sold out game with fireworks and a concert afterward.

A picture taken during our tour of PNC Park. If you are a sports fan, do a stadium tour! It was interesting and fun!

"The Point" of Pittsburgh with the Duquesne Incline car in the foreground. This is why Pittsburgh is known as Three Rivers City. Two rivers meet to make the Ohio River. They also have the 2nd most bridges in the WORLD.
May 31, 2008- The day we were wed.
Ed & I are extremely fortunate to have such a great relationship after 8 years of being together. I believe we owe a lot of that to our foundation and relationship with God. We hope you are able to share your life with someone who loves you unconditionally.

Farewell to GREAT friends

Honestly, it makes me very sad to even type this blog. That is all because I am selfish and would love to have two of my favorite people and their beautiful, smart, and sweet children still with in 10 minutes from Ed and me. Instead Andrew and Heather have moved about 10 hours from us. Though it is sad to think our best friends live so far, we know God has BIG things in store for them in "Hotlanta". Here are some pictures before they left the great metropolis of Chillicothe:

There were more pictures to be taken...but the camera battery died.

I would like to say something about Andrew and Heather before I close this blog entry. There are times in your life when you are fortunate to be blessed with relationships that challenge, encourage, support, and bless your life. The time we had to spend with Andrew and Heather did all of those things and more. We loved serving God with "Pastor Andrew" and Heather. The fun memories we have of our time serving along with the wonderful memories of our friendships will long be in our hearts.
To the Day family- Andrew, You helped Ed and I to grow our relationship with God in an awesome way. Thank you for that. Heather- You have been such an amazing person, laughing with us and crying with us in a way that has forever touched our hearts. We love you all like family and we already miss you terribly. Praying you are able to share many memories with new friends where God has led you to serve. Looking forward to trips south and continued memories in our friendships with you.

Well everyone, on that note- I'm off here. I hope you are able to spend fun times with your friends and family and hopefully are blessed to build friendships like we have with folks like Andrew & Heather.
